Suzuki RMX50

The RMX50 was introduced in 1995, and was powered by the same Japanese engine as the RG Wolf, but Suzuki Motor Espana made this model in Manzanares in Spain. The power output of the 49cc liquid cooled two-stroke varied depending on the licensing laws of the country it was sold in. Styling was based on Suzuki’s highly successful RM series of moto-cross machinery, and was well specified with front and rear disc brakes, full 21” and 19” wheels with off-road style tyres. The six-speed machine weighed 93kg, and proved popular with first time riders, beguiled by that competition RM pedigree! Depending on the state of tune the RM50 ranged from very fast (for a 50cc motorcycle) to adequate, such as the U.K market where by law such machines are restricted to just 35mph! No wonder U.K riders go for the most powerful sports machine they can get once they have passed their riding test
